At least, Twenty people, including women and children fleeing from bandits have drowned in Guni-Zumba river.

According to Daily Trust, the victims are those who escaped when bandits attacked Guni and Kurgbaku communities of Munya Local Government Area of Niger state in the early hours of Wednesday March 30, and were crossing the river to Zumba and Gwada IDP camps through a boat at the time of the incident.
