United States President Donald Trump has announced the termination of Mark Esper, as the US Department of Defense Secretary appointment.
He made this known via a tweet on Monday.
No Reason was given for the decision at the time of this report.
The Tweet read;
“I am pleased to announce that Christopher C. Miller, the highly respected Director of the National Counterterrorism Center (unanimously confirmed by the Senate), will be Acting Secretary of Defense, effective immediately …Chris will do a GREAT job!
“Mark Esper has been terminated. I would like to thank him for his service,” he tweeted.
Among other things, the Department of Defense provides military forces with what is required to deter war and ensure our nation’s security.
