Kwara: Abducted Anglican Bishop, Wife, Driver Regains Freedom

Rt. Rev Oluwaseun Aderogba, the Anglican Bishop of Jebba Diocese, Kwara State, alongside his Wife, and driver who were kidnapped by gunmen on Sunday night, June 12, have been released.

News about their freedom was broken to the Anglican Television, ACNNTV, by the Bishop of Omu-Aran Diocese, Rt. Rev Festus Sobanke.
It was also confirmed by the General Secretary of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion,Venerable Paul Dajur.

The Oyo State Police Command also confirmed this in a statement released on Tuesday night, June 14, by the Police Public Relations Officer for Oyo State, Adewale Osifeso.
According to the statement, all three were released unhurt around 6:20pm on Tuesday.

The couple and their driver were kidnapped on Ogbomoso-Oyo Expressway in Oyo State after their vehicle broke down on Sunday.
