Manchester United will pay Harry Maguire £10M to leave the club this summer

According to reports, West Ham would pay Harry Maguire £10 million to let him leave Manchester United.

The Red Devils and the east London club have agreed to a £30 million transfer, and Maguire and the Hammers are currently negotiating personal terms.

When he officially joins West Ham, Maguire’s pay will drop from $190,000 to £120,000 per week, according to The Sun, but the defender has already received a £6 million payoff from Manchester United.

In the wake of Declan Rice’s departure earlier in the summer transfer window, West Ham manager David Moyes is allegedly ready to hand the England star the captain’s armband.

According to the story, the England international realized his time at the club was up when Bruno Fernandes was given the captain’s armband instead of him.

This summer, Everton and Newcastle United were among the clubs said to be interested in the former Sheffield United prospect, but West Ham are close to signing him.

Maguire was not a part of Man United’s preseason game against Lens on Saturday at Old Trafford, which featured perhaps Erik ten Hag’s best lineup.

The defender was jeered by some stadiumgoers in Dublin on Sunday when he played for the second team against Athletic Bilbao.
