PDP stakeholders pass a vote of confidence on deputy Chairman House Committee on Communication.

The Deputy Chairman House Committee on Communication in the house of representative Hon Unyime Idem has consistently been on the news positively.

This time, the PDP and political stakeholders in Oruk Anam LGA one of the Local Government Areas that makes up the federal constituency where the federal lawmaker is representing have passed a vote of confidence on him.

Hon Idem happily paying attention as the Executive Chaiman Hon Kingsley Frank shower praises on effective representation.

In a meeting held at Oruk Anam Local Government Council Hall,  Ikot Ibritam with attendants drawn from the 16 wards of the area, the people vehemently confered their goodwills judging from the unprecedented performance of the legislator Unyime Idem within 2 years, deem it necessary to rally round their unending unflinching supports on him as a source of encouragement in the other years ahead. 

While reviewing the scorecard of the deputy Chairman House Committee on Communication,  the Leader Akwa Ibom State House of Asssembly and Member representing Oruk Anam State Constituency,  Sir Udo Kierian Akpan  said Idem has done creditably well for the people within the span of 2 years and must to be celebrated.

Mr Akpan said the lawmaker has not disappointed the people having justified the mandates collectively bestowed  on him by the people through effective representation, he appreciated Hon Idem for always being in touch with the people and for putting such a performance in two years.

Also speak the Commissioner for Education,  Mrs Idongesit Etiebet said Idem has made his constituents proud through  purposeful and human development driven representation and prayed God to continue to strengthen member of the federal house parliament to do more in the years ahead. 

Also speaking the Chairman of Oruk Anam Local Government,  Hon. Kingsley Frank congratulated the House of Representatives member  on his resourceful two years and called on the people to continue to supports him in the course of taking the federal constituency to an enviable position.

A one time Commissioner for Health,  Dr. Udoma Bob Ekarika, moved a motion for a vote of confidence on  Unyime Idem for what he described as a record breaking performance.

He said, “Within 2 years, the MP  has surpassed the expectations of the people in such a short time, truly, Oruk Anam has never had it this good. He deserves  the confidence of the people”. 

The motion was seconded by a former  member representing Oruk  Anam State Constituency in the House of Assembly,  Mr. Udo Kerian Akpan

Addressing the stakeholders and political leaders,  various speakers expressed appreciation in the palatable achievements of Hon. Idem in the house of representative and selfless sacrifice in the development of Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency as exemplified in life touching projects and active engagement at the National Assembly. 

They also applauded him for the honour done on the elders of the area and affirmed the commitment and supports of the people towards his tenure as a federal lawmaker. 

In his response the federal lawmaker and deputy Chairman House Committee on Communication Hon. Unyime Idem thanked the PDP Oruk Anam chapter and political  stakeholders for the honour done him and pledged to continue to render selfless service to the people.

According to him,  I don’t take for granted the People’s mandates and supports, i promise to do more for the people of the area in the remaining years of my representation”

Idem while listing his achievements within two years for Oruk Anam, added that projects such as Urua Atim road, Ikot Ukpong-Eren Bridge,  Access Road to NIFOR  Sub Station,  Construction of Classroom Blocks, Construction of E-Learning Centre and empowerment of people for skills acquisition are all approved for this year.

Godwin Udom,  Vice chairman Oruk Anam LGA, Hon. Etiutom Idut,  Leader, Oruk  Anam Legislative Council, Rt. Hon. Festus,  Secretary of the LGA, Former Vice Chairman,  Hon. Nicholas Iyiet, Chief Udo Edem, Political Leader of ward 8, Former Permanent Secretary in the Area, Engr. Nicholas Idungafa, Pioneer Chapter PDP chairman in the Area, Sir Ntefre, All chapter Officers and ward officers of the party, Councillors among others.
