The Nigerian Senate has received a request from President Buhari to confirm the appointment of one of his media Aides, Laurette Onochie, as a National Commissioner of the INEC, Independent National Electoral Commission, representing Delta State.
Ahmad Lawan, the President of the Senate who read the letter from Mr. President on the floor of the Senate on Tuesday, included Prof. Mohammed Sani from Katsina, Prof Kunle Ajayi representing Ekiti, and Seidu Ahmed representing Jigawa as others in the list.
Onochie is the Special Assistant to the President on Social Media.
