Reno Omokri, a former aide to ex- President Goodluck Jonathan has called on the people of the Southeast and Igbos in general to speak in unity so that nothing will be impossible for them to achieve.
Omokri, who made this known via his Facebook page was referring to the actions of some Igbos who were celebrating the re-arrest of the IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to the extent that one knelt down to thank God for the arrest, while another was spreading gossip about his arrest.
The best seller author noted that no muslim clerics from Sultan to Imam condemned Gumi, when the bandits amnesty campaigner tried to endanger the lives of christians soldiers by telling bandits that it was the Christian soldiers who has been killing them, so they should target them and not Northern Muslim soldiers.
He also said the same of Isa Pantami. the terrorists apologist who expressed his joy in seeing unbelievers killed and no northern person criticised or condem. him, adding that now Nigerians are submitting sensitive informations to him.
Omokri advised the Igbos to learn from the North and the Southwest, noting that the Yorubas and particularly, Tinubu who bootlicks the north in his quest to be president has never condemned Sunday Igboho .
He cited Genesis 11:6 and ask the Igbos to borrow a cue from the Scripture chapter.
Omokri’s full post reads;
“When Sheikh Gumi told bandits that the soldiers who kill them are Christians, and as a result, they should not kill Muslim soldiers, how many Northern Muslim clerics condemned him, from the Sultan to the least Imam?
How many Northern Muslim clerics or leaders condemned Isa Pantami who described his joy at the killing of non Muslims? Today, we are all submitting our sensitive national data to a Pantami who publicly idolised Osama Bin Laden.
How many Northern Muslim clerics or leaders cautioned Nasir El-Rufai, who admitted paying killer herdsmen money? Which of them condemned Governor Masari when he was having meetings with bandits and releasing photos?
Boko Haram is now in Bauchi, Kaduna and Niger states, yet the Buhari administration holds special graduation ceremonies for so called ‘rehabilitated Boko Haram’.
And some Igbos are celebrating Kanu’s capture, with one of them even going on his knees to thank God, and another spreading gossip about him?
How many Yoruba have you seen condemning Sunday Igboho? Even Tinubu that has been bootlicking the North because he wants to be President, has not condemned Igboho.
I counsel the Igbos to read Genesis 11:6 “The people are united, and they all speak the same language. After this, nothing they set out to do will be impossible for them!”
