The South east Governors forum has on Monday, condemned the cruel assassination of Ahmed Gulak, the Adamawa born politician in Owerri, Imo by senseless gunmen.
Dave Umahi, the Ebonyi State governor, who is the Chairman of the forum made the condemnation in a statement issued by Francis Nwaeze, his special assistant on media and publicity.
Gov Umahi said: “It is with a rude shock that we received the news of the unfortunate death of Alhaji Ahmed Gulak in the hands of the senseless unknown gunmen.
“We, on behalf of the people of Southeast, condemn the act highly. We charge security agencies to immediately deploy their officers and men to arrest the perpetrators and make them face justice. We, however, pray to God to grant the deceased rest in eternity.”
He also commiserated with the Gulak family, the Adamawa State government and Nigerians in general over the killing.
