Tinubu mourns Rotimi Amaechi’s mother, Dame Ezinne Mary Oduah Amaechi, describes her as a champion of faith.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Dame Ezinne Mary Oduah Amaechi, the mother of former Rivers State Governor and former Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi.

Dame Ezinne Mary Oduah Amaechi passed away at the age of 89, leaving behind a legacy of faith, service, and devotion to family and humanity.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu paid glowing tribute to the late matriarch, describing her as a woman whose life embodied love, sacrifice, kindness, and perseverance.

The President acknowledged her unwavering commitment to the Catholic faith and commended her exemplary role in raising children dedicated to public service and nation-building.

According to President Tinubu, Dame Amaechi’s life remains a shining example of humility, dignity, and selfless service, virtues that earned her the admiration of all who encountered her.

He urged the Amaechi family to find comfort in the enduring legacy she has bequeathed to her children, the Church, and society at large.

“My heartfelt condolences to Rt. Hon. Amaechi, the entire Amaechi family, the Catholic faithful, and the government and people of Rivers State over the loss of Dame Ezinne Amaechi, a champion of faith whose life was marked by humility and selfless service to humanity,” the President stated.

President Tinubu further prayed for the peaceful repose of her soul and divine comfort for all those grieving her passing.

The passing of Dame Ezinne Mary Oduah Amaechi marks the end of a remarkable life devoted to faith, family, and service, leaving an enduring impact on her community and generations to come.
