Youths under the ages of Democratic youth Alliance are on a serious mission to shut down the State government House failure for the party PDP to withdraw from its alleged usual ways of irregularities of the imposition of candidates.
The aggressive youth from Abak LGA Akwa Ibom State in their last general meeting resolve to resist any barbaric action of the ruling PDP if the leadership of the party proceeds their evil desires of irregularities.
Speaking with some newsmen shortly after the meeting on Wednesday 12th February 2020 at Watbridge hotel Uyo the National president of the organization Mr. Ubong Akpan said the youth Alliance has taken their decision to withstand the usual malpractice methods of the party in selecting their flag bearers ahead of the local government elections.
Mr. Akpan said they decided to raise an alarm and embark on the shutdown activities to prove a point that the people of Abak LGA are not “fools” and will vehemently and unanimously oppose any attempt by the party to circumvent anyone at the detriments of the masses.
He said the forthcoming council race should be conducted on a credible atmosphere for all the contestants to test their popularity, but any attempt by the ruling party to play smart with the intellectual ability of the masses as such will pave way for blood spilling because the Organisation will ensure it mobilize to resist any attempt to interrupt the fundamental right of the electorates in Abak LGA.
Speaking with the publicity secretary of the party Barr. Ini Ememobong on a telephone conversation he said there is a level playing ground for every aspirant under the party.
