The Forum of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Ward Chairmen in Abak LGA, on Sunday 16, of February 2020 paid homage to the Honourable Member Representing Abak State Constituency in Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Mr Udeme Otong.
The solidarity visit on the lawmaker by the ward leaders of PDP took place at Abak Itenge the native village of the Assemblyman in Abak Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State.
The Forum led by the Chairman of Ward Chairmen in the chapter, Mr Charles Ekukinam, stressed that the group decided to embark on a familiarization visit to the statehouse member considering his landmarks achievement and performance at the hallow Chambers of 7th Assembly.
He said the solidarity visit was to create a wide platform for the ward leaders of the party to bestowed a vote of confidence on him following his track records in the floor of the house and his oversight engagements as the Chairman of State House of Assembly Committee on Health within the period of seven months in office.
Mr Ekukinam expressed delight and total satisfaction on the leadership power of the lawmaker describing him as a man of wisdom.
The Chairman of ward Chairmen also applauds the credibility of the lawmaker for his welcoming attributes always giving out a chance for the people of the area to have access to him which signifies that Abak LGA is enjoying what he described as an all-inclusive representation by the legislator.
He said the forum has vowed to continue pledging their total supports throughout his tenure in office.
Responding, the Chairman, Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly Committee on Health, Elder Otong, expressed gratitude for the benevolence done on him by the ward leaders.
He commended the effort of the state Governor Mr Udom Emmanuel, the leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Akwa Ibom State and the entire people of Abak State constituency for the mandates given him to serve his people.
He said “it’s my obligations to cherished and respect the people’s mandates, it is not my mandate. I am only the servant of the people who finds me worthy to entrust me with their mandate and I will not and cannot take this recognition for granted”
Mr Atong thank the Forum of Abak PDP Ward Chairmen for their supports which made his victory easier at the polls.
He reiterated his commitment to a better Abak projects which will bring a turn around to the constituency and assure for more.
The lawmaker also promised to meet with the stakeholders of the party in Abak so as to unite them as one big family that PDP is known for and also gave them the right hand of fellowship in his representation.
