The immediate past governor of Bayelsa State, Mr. Seriake Dickson beyond politics, is, however, a great farmer. He has passion and unusual energy for agriculture.
Dickson who handed over to the new governor, Duruoye Diri on Friday, took to Twitter on Tuesday to share pictures and videos of himself in his fish farm pond.
His farm at Toru-Orua, Sagbama Local Government Area, reveals the governor’s love for growing food.
He said he finds farming fulfilling and is very passionate about the trade and will invest to ensure it creates employment to Bayelsans.
“It has been quite fulfilling retiring to my farm, a vocation I am very passionate about. Having to personally feed the fishes every morning can indeed be quite thrilling. Loving my new life,” he wrote via his handle @iamHSDickson.
“See who stopped by at the Farm. My special brother, Alhaji Murktah Shagari, Former Deputy Governor, Sokoto State and some student leaders of African University, Toru Orua, Sagbama, Bayelsa State. Meanwhile, the sugar cane I served them on their visit was from my farm.”
