Governor Obaseki Threatens Violence Should The Opposition Make Rampage Move

Ahead of the gubernatorial election in Edo state, Governor Godwin Obaseki who has been advocating for peace in the forthcoming election has threatened to unleash violence in full force should the All Progressives Congress (APC) take to the rampage path.
Speaking about possible machinations of violence, Governor Obaseki while addressing pressmen in the south-south state said he will not hesitate to deploy violence because “there is no monopoly of it.” “And we will show them that we are in government. And I am governor, Philip (Shaibu) is deputy We are the only two people who have immunity in this state today. And I am saying it in a very clear warning,”
Obaseki was quoted to have said. Edo election has been scheduled for September, and the two prominent political parties, APC and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have resulted in desperate attacks on personality.
