A prison source disclosed that though Senator Orji Uzor Kalu is in the prison custody, the former governor and senator is still in charge of his businesses.
NEWSIE EVENT gathered that Kalu who is currently serving a 12years prison sentence after he was convicted by Justice Muhammed Idris of the Federal High Court Lagos alongside his firm, Slok Nigeria and Mr Udeh Udeogu, who was the Director of Finance and Accounts at the Abia State Government House during Kalu’s tenure as governor.for an N7.1Billion fraud still maintains firm control of his business interests.
Sources confirmed administrators of Kalu’s businesses visit him in Ikoyi Prison, Lagos where he’s currently serving – for his inputs in major decisions to be taken. Kalu who has launched an appeal against his conviction ‘’calls the shots’’ on such ‘’ matters’’ in the form of advice on what to do.
