Just a few days after bandits invaded five villages and killed 40 farmers, Daily Trust is reporting that Habibu Mainasara, the provost of the College of Arts and Animal Science in Zamafara State, has been kidnapped.
The incident took place at his official residence in Bakura in the early hours of Sunday. Details of the incident are still sketchy according to DailyTrust
This is coming few days after 40 farmers were killed by bandits who attacked five villages.
Also, the college provost abduction happened around the time when bandits invaded the palace of the Emir of Kajuru and abducted him alongside some members of his family.
The Nigerian government’s efforts to curb or put a stop to the high level of insecurity across the country have not yielded any positive results.
