The wife of the newspaper vendor that was mistakenly shot by the security aide of the Speaker House of Representatives Femi Gbajabiamila has spoken out.
This is the first time the wife of the deceased will make a public statement ever since the ugly incident happened.
Josephine Okereke is requesting that the picture of her husband’s killer be made public aside his name being mentioned.
Speaking on the death of her husband when pressmen visited her family house in Kwata village, Madalla-Suleja, Niger state where she has been since the incident, Mrs Okereke asked for closure on the person that killed her husband.
The widow of the 37-year-old deceased vendor said publishing the name of her husband’s killer is not enough.
She maintained that her late husband deserves justice and disclosing his killer’s picture is a way to get that justice.
You would recall that Newsieevent reported last week that Ifeanyi Okereke, 37, was killed by the security aide of the speaker as he was trying to disperse people in Abuja.
The Speaker of House of Representative has also paid a condolence visit to the wife of the vendor and promised that justice must be done, adding that he will take care of the family the vendor left behind.
