Some angry youths in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, have invaded the Oluyole Ibadan residence of the representative of the Oyo Central senatorial district in the National Assembly, Senator Teslim Folarin, located at Oluyole Estate, Ibadan, on Saturday and carts away valuables including brand new motorcycles, freezers, grinding machines, television sets, and similar items.
Newsie Events gathered that the estimated value of items removed from the house is about N250 million.
According to aide to Folarin who confirmed the story told TheCable said, “I can confirm to you that senator Folarin’s house in Oluyole estate area of Ibadan was invaded this morning by hoodlums. They took away items worth N250 million. It was daylight robbery. We could not engage them so they had a field day. The senator was not at the property when the looting happened. It is sad this is happening.”
Recently, angry Nigerians have targeted prominent figures including known politicians and royal fathers across various parts of the country. Folarin is the latest Nigerian VIP to suffer such an attack.
The Oba of Lagos and the Soun of Ogbomoso are some of the traditional rulers already visited by the angry mobs.
