#EndSARS: Activate ‘Two-Factor’ Verification FG Advise All Government Ministries After Being Compromised By International Hacker Group

As a result of the hacking of the National Broadcasting Commission’s Twitter account by the world-renowned hacker group ‘Anonymous’, the Nigerian government is taking urgent steps to secure all its social media platforms.
Galaxy Backbone, the official IT service provider of the federal government, has directed all Ministries, Agencies, and Departments (MDAs) of government to activate two-step verification on all their Twitter accounts.
The Group, ‘Anonymous’ had after hacking the official Twitter account of National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), used the same account to announce that it had taken over all Twitter accounts of the federal government.
Galaxy Backbone, in a post retweeted by the Presidency on Friday, said: “All MDAs of FG who have Twitter accounts are advised to activate Two-Factor Authentication on their accounts without further delay. Below is how to:
1,-Go to “settings & privacy”
2,-Go to “account”
3,-Select “security”
4,-Select Two-factor authentication
5,-Select “text message”


According to the WHISTLER, the hacker group had on Friday threatened to “expose secrets and dirty files” of the federal government over its alleged failure to end police brutality in the country.
Meanwhile, today, Friday, the Annonymous group had written to Nigerians through the National Broadcasting Commission, requesting their suggestion on the Government websites they would want them, “the Annonymous” to attack.
