Hoodlums set orile iganmu police station, others on fire in lagos [videos]

Some hoodlums have set a Police Station in Orile Iganmu on fire moments ago in Lagos State. Eyewitnesses said the incident occurred around 09.45 am on Tuesday.
The police station services both Iganmu community in Apapa Iganmu and Orile Community in Coker/Aguda.
It is unclear the demands of the hoodlums who set the police station ablaze.
Following the destruction of the police station, many #EndSARS protesters have taken to social media to condemn the action of the hoodlums.
They insist they have nothing to do with the incident noting that there was no #EndSARS protest in Orile area of Lagos State on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, after the news report on the burning down the Orile Iganmu Police Station, the Punch reported that Layeni police station at Ifelodun Local Council Development Area of Lagos State has been set on fire also by suspected hoodlums.
It was also learnt that Pako Police Station is under attack but, Ajeromi police station was repelled by policemen when hoodlums attacked the station.
Ladipo, who witnessed the incident said at least eight persons were injured. He said, “The crisis started from Orile Iganmu. People were protesting peacefully and the police shot at them. Later, the boys heard that policemen have killed their people at Iganmu, they also burnt Layeni Police Station.
“There is tension everywhere. We have rushed eight people to the hospital. They were critically injured.”
When contacted on the telephone, the Chief Press Secretary of Ajeromi Ifelodun LCDA, Sheriff Fakunle, said, “Yes, it is on fire. Layeni Police Station has been torched. The incident happened around 11 am.
“At Ajeromi police station, the hoodlums were repelled.”
