PSG coach Luis Enrique ‘ considering quitting’ after just a month in the job amid toxic Kylian Mbappe feud

Luis Enrique, the coach of Paris Saint-Germain, is considering leaving the club after only a month in charge, amid speculation about Kylian Mbappe’s future.

The Spanish coach began his new position on July 5, but he is already dissatisfied with the pandemonium at Parc des Princes.

According to Mail Online, this is primarily due to the club’s toxic relationship with Mbappe, who is attempting to secure a move away, most likely to Real Madrid.

PSG, who excluded Mbappe from their pre-season tour of Japan and sent him to the reserves, are keen to sell him for a fee this summer rather than lose their top asset for nothing in a year. Luis Campos, the sporting director who was important in Enrique’s appointment, is also reportedly leaving Paris.

According to the Spanish publication Marca, Enrique may resign as a result, even before the start of the new Ligue 1 season on August 12. PSG begin their title defense against Lorient at home.

Marca reportedly claims Enrique’s right-hand man Rafel Pol is considering leaving as a further disincentive.

According to the newspaper, Enrique, who has a “short trigger,” has already been uneasy in the PSG hot seat.

The reports, however, have been dismissed as ‘total nonsense’ and ‘stupid’ by Parisians.

PSG believed Luis Enrique, 53, would lead the team to Champions League triumph after winning the league with Barcelona in 2015.

The coach, who took over for Christophe Galtier, has a proven track record of delivering championships, having won two La Liga titles at Barcelona.

Mbappe, 24, signed a two-year contract extension with PSG in 2022, with the option of a third year, after turning down Real Madrid.
