Residents of Enugu state have severally complained that Governor Ugwuanyi-led administration is known for their excessive use of billboard to advertise their achievements which scattered at every corner in the state with little or no action to back it up.
These claims came to bear as a massive billboard was seen of the Chairman of Awgu Local Government Area, Mr. Pedro Okwudili Nwankwo on location supposedly to mourn victims of last month’s tragic school bus crash.
However, the awkward thing about the billboard is that it has a photo of the LG Chairman with a huge smile on his face beside that of Enugu State Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi.
Senator Chijinkem Ugwuanyi who was aggrieved by the sight of the Billboard immediately called the attention of the LG Chairman to remove it as it is not suitable especially on the occasion of mourning.
You would recall that about eight pupils of Presentation Nursery and Primary school were crushed to death including their teacher and the driver in that auto crash in Awgu, on October 28.
His post reads: “If you know this local government chairman from Awgu Local Government council in Enugu west called Hon. Pedro Okwudili Nwankwo, pls tell him to remove this immediately”
A lot of people has been angered by that billboard as they have described whoever puts it up as callous and insensitive.
