Alahaji Chief Olajide Kabiru the Baale Ayeigun Oleyo of Ibadan has congratulated Mr. Popoola Olaide Settle on his emergence as the Executive Chaiman Oluyole LGA in Oyo State.
The Baale Ayeigun noted that the emergence of Mr. Popoola as democratically elected Executive Chaiman of the area in the just concluded Local Government election in Oyo State is an indication of the existence of democracy under Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration in the state.
He said the performance of Mr Olaide as transition Chairman in the council is what prompted the people of Oluyole LGA to elect him as the executive chairman.
The community leader and Philanthropists while congratulating the newly elected Executive Chaiman Oluyole LGA also call for massive support of the people to enable him perform and achieve more higher than when he served as caretaker Chairman.
Alahaji Kabiru made it known that Governor Makinde means well for the people of Oluyole LGA, according to him, that was the main reason the Governor did not want to imposed any body on the people of the area but allow the people to make their choice of leader.
Chief Kabiru, who is also the Chairman Oyo State saw-miller Timber and planks contractors called on the people of Oluyole LGA not to be reluctant in supporting the administration of Engr. Seyi Makinde as their unflinching supports will encourage the Governor to do more through the newly sworn in executive chairman.
He prayed for wisdom upon the Chairman to pilot the activities of the area with the fear of God.
