Christians who refuse to believe the word of God and put same into practice have locked Jesus Christ out of their lives.
The Senior Congregational Pastor of Qua Iboe Church Nigeria, Uyo Township, Number 2 Olusegun Obasanjo Way Uyo, Rev.Donald Ekpo stated this during his sermon delivered at Last Sunday Service for January 2022.
Preaching on the theme: “He is at the door”, taken from Revelation 3v20- 21, and Songs of Solomon 5v2, Rev.Ekpo
maintained that many christians have unconsciously prevented Jesus Christ from having access into their hearts through their lifestyles.
The Cleric bemoaned situation where some Christians place priority on weekly attendance of church activities but do not allow messages received to influence their behaviours, describing the act as condemnable.
Rev Ekpo pointed out that some adherents have exhibited what he termed “flamboyant character” and do not allow the light of God to be seen in them at homes, churches and offices.
He hinted that many people are pretending to be born again Christians in the church but indulge themselves in drinking strong wine, deceived through false prophecy and other forms of ungodly living.
Rev Ekpo enjoined Christians to rid themselves of acts capable of hindering Jesus Christ from their hearts, stressing that those who are willing to open the door for him to get in will experience Joy and reign with him forever.
