Gov Sanwo Olu names building after Tinubu

Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Lagos State Governor on Friday, opened the newly built Apapa-Iganmu Local Council Development Area which he named after the All Progressive Congress leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, and the Agboyi-Ketu LCDA in the state, after the late Senator of Lagos East Senatorial District, Adebayo Osinowo.

He further cautioned the youths to desist from the destruction of government’s assets built with public funds.

According to a release by his Chief Press Secretary, Gboyega Akosile, Sanwo Olu said that the EndSars protest brought out the need for government “to double their efforts and prioritise youth development and empowerment.”

The buildings were inaugurated by the governor in two separate ceremonies held in the two councils’ headquarters.

Sanwo Olu said, “It is important to emphasise the need for all of us to understand that public infrastructure is part of our commonwealth being provided with public funds. We must safeguard them against vandalism, as witnessed in the state a couple of weeks ago.”

He further stated that the council’s leadership decision in Agboyi-Ketu was to name the edifice after the late senator considering the contributions he made to the development of the council.
