Newsie Events:

The Coalition of Concerned Abia Youth, (CCAY) has on Wednesday replied the Abia State Governor,) Okezie Victor Ikpeazu over his recent interview on Magic .FM.

The National Coordinator, Comrade Eduano Obani while speaking to news men in Umuahia said it’s very unfortunate and sad to hear such utterance from a person the people handed over their affairs to. ” I’m very hurt that such utterance is coming from the mouth of a Governor.. Government is for the people and government business is the people’s business.

Comrade Eduano went on to say that, “No public office Holder both elected or appointed is doing the people a favour in discharging his or her duties ” I Wonder what OVI thinks he is to the people that made him release such statement in a public domain, Ikpeazu is just an employee of the people of Abia state, we Elected him and put him in charge of the affairs of the state, to manage our resources, provide basic infrastructures and protect our lives and properties. When we see you’re not doing what you’re elected to do, it’s our constitutional right to ask you questions because its our business, Ikpeazu stop feeling you’re doing us a favour because it’s what you’re called to do.”

Furthermore, the group National Secretary, Comrade Okereke Nnamdi Nwafor while reacting to the statement said, “I’m terribly hurt to watch a Governor who is a servant to the people blatantly mocked the people. He boasted that Ndi Abia questioning him on the slow pace of work at the Osisioma flyover do not even have cars, to the point of asking if they will use the flyover with legs, this the highest level of arrogance and disrespect to the people of Abia.

Comrade Okereke Nnamdi Nwafor further said that Abians should Wake up and correct the errors using 2023 election ” Abians we all are seeing what and how our leaders treat us with our collective wealth. An opportunity is before us to create the errors to make Abia our dream land we should be wise” he added.
