Alex Ekubo’s former fiancée, Fancy Acholonu, has apologised to him for cancelling their wedding plans.
Newsie Events recalled that in May 2021, Alex and Fancy got engaged, with their traditional and white wedding fixed for November the same year.
However, in August 2021, about three months to their much-awaited wedding Acholonu Publicly ended the relationship.
“Hey guys, I’m writing to inform you all officially that I have ended my relationship, engagement, and I have called off the wedding with Alexx Ekubo,” she had announced.
The cancellation, at that time had elicited heated reactions on social media
In a dramatic twist on Thursday, Acholonu took to her Instagram page to apologise to the actor for her action.
The entrepreneur said she overreacted at the time, adding that she is sorry for not controlling her emotions.
Acholonu also disclosed that she still loves the actor, adding that he means the world to her.
“Like our shirt says, Nothing makes sense when we’re apart @alexxekubo you still have my heart. I miss you, I love you, and I’m truly sorry for all the hurt & pain you and your family went through with our break up,” she wrote.
“My actions in how I handled things was out of my character. I should have controlled my emotions and not been so overreactive. I said too much, I did too much. Please forgive me, I’ve learned my lesson on how to handle situations better.
“I haven’t expressed myself properly. I’m not afraid to be vulnerable and say you, your family, & friends still mean the world to me. Losing you has felt like grief. Love heals. #FalexxForever.”
The film star is yet to react to her post as of the time of this report.
