Record Breaking: NGGG Confirms ENGR. ETIDO INYANG, FNSE Nomination As BOT Member, While NIGERIAN SOCIETY OF ENGINEERS (NSE) Honours Him With An Award

The Chairman, Ibom Power Company Ltd, Engr. Etido Inyang has again, made the people of Akwa Ibom State and indeed, the south-south geo-political zone proud, as two reputable bodies in the country:
the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and the Nigeria Good Governance Group (NGGG) espoused his pragmatism in leadership; and philanthropism in social development.

These and many other outstanding features of Engr. Inyang was revealed at two different occasions attended by him in Abuja today, the 17th day of November 2020. Preceding the day, was the national award presented to him by the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE at the international conference center, Abuja by 10. 00 am.

Presenting the award, the national President of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Engr. Baba Gana Mohammed stated that the Excellent Award to Engr. Inyang was a mark of recognition for his Outstanding Contribution to the advancement of Engineering in Nigeria.

The event, which was presented live on NTA and other TV stations attracted the attention of many Nigerians who have known the Ikot Ekpene born politician cum industrialist and his humble disposition; and those who never knew him but have been hearing of his achievements including the Director-General of the Nigeria Good Governance Group (NGGG), Alhaji Dr. Bala Mohammed and other members of the group who were preparing for the reception of Engr. Inyang into the BOT fold of the group by 2.00 pm.

On arrival at the venue of the meeting of the Nigeria Good Governance Group (NGGG), the Vice-Chairman, Board of Trustees of the group, Alhaji Muhammad Babayo Maina stated that there was no point reading the profile of Engr. Inyang in the floor of the house since his profile was already in the public domain; and his achievements were in line with the canons of “good governance”.

To uphold the tradition of the panel of selection and adoption of members into the BOT body of the group, an opportunity was given to the Akwa Ibom State Chairman of NGGG, Comrade Anietie Ekpenyong, to introduce Engr. Inyang to the National Working Committee and other members available at the meeting.

In his brief introduction, Comrade Ekpenyong who represented the south-south zonal Chairman described Engr. Etido Inyang as an advocate of good governance, and that he has been supporting the group in various ways since its inception in 2017.

Responding to the adoption into the group’s BOT by the NWC members, Engr. Etido Inyang promised not to relent effort in the work of NGGG as that would proffer solution to the age-long leadership problem faced by the country.

He further unfolds strategies that would secure the desired good governance for the country in its short term, medium, and long term plans.

Lastly, he emphasized on women’s involvement, as that will help the group to achieve through the three cardinal points of sensitization, mobilization, and orientation.
