Sylvester Oromoni’s Death: Buhari Vows Justice Will Be Done “No Matter Who Is Involved “

Newsie Events Media:

President Muhammadu Buhari has showed great concern in the death of Sylvester Oromoni, a 12-year-old student of Dowen College alleged to have died from injuries he sustained after being bullied and assaulted by five of his colleagues who tried to force him to join their cult group.

Reacting to the sad incident, President Buhari in a statement through his senior media assistant, Garuba Shehu, vowed that the alleged killers of Sylvester Oromoni would be made to pay for their action.

Newsie Events recalled that Dowen College had in a statement claimed that Oromoni was injured while playing football, but the late student was said to have denied the claim before he died.

He had reportedly named those that tortured and bullied him before his death.

In the statement titled “No one involved in the Oromoni killing will be spared,” President Buhari assured Oromoni’s family that his death would be investigated and adequate punishment meted out to those found culpable “no matter who is involved”.

“I share the anger and grief up and down the country following this incident. On behalf of my family and I, and the government of the federation, I convey our heartfelt condolences to the Oromoni family, the government and people of Lagos State and give the firm assurance that this incident will be thoroughly investigated and the appropriate punishment meted out to all those who are culpable,” said the president
