The immediate past state house of Assembly Representing Abak State Constituency in Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly Mr. Friday Iwok has drawn his attention to a fictitious story published by a State-based tabloid, Global Concord, Sensor Newspaper and circulated in various medium with the headline,’A’Ibom PDP CHAIRMANSHIP TUSSLE: Iwok Vows to Floor Ekpenyong, Ikim, Ors, with a rider,…Friday Iwok is a Failure Already, credited to a faceless Chieftain of the PDP.
The former Assemblyman vehemently refuted it and described the said publications as the handiwork of the mischievous persons.
Mr. Iwok said he has never granted his audience to any of the print media thereby regarding such publications as falsehood but with a devilish intention to launder his image in the eyes of the public.
He said ” I have not granted my attention or say anything regarding the publication but am surprised”
Mr. Friday Iwok is not only a committed member and chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party in Akwa Ibom State, a devoted and dedicated politician whose agenda is always of God and will never resort nor stoop low to cheap propaganda and blackmailing for any position in life.
As a man who knows the tradition of the People’s Democratic Party and respects the leadership of the party Iwok will never indulge in petty and infantile talks for any reason but will always look up to the Agenda of God as far as in his political journey.
On the issue of the ex-Assemblyman being a failure, as stated by an unidentified person of the PDP, the legislator laughed overwhelmingly and stated that since his days as State Deputy Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), State Chairman of National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives(NANNM), a veteran Labour Leader, his landmark records are outstanding till his position as Honourable Member Representing Abak State Constituency where he left an indelible landmark successes ever witnessed in the State Constituency.
In the hallowed chamber, Mr Friday Iwok had a superlative representation and was celebrated and applauded by many across political divide including the people of Otoro Clan in Abak Local Government Area who recently honoured him as “UbokUdom Otoro Abak” for his meritorious achievements in the State legislature and his selfless service to humanity and mankind.
We wish to warn,Global Concord Newspaper and other detractors to desist forthwith from circulating falsehood, character assassination with the hard-earned reputation of Mr. Friday Iwok for favoritism and should always abide by the tenets and ethical conducts of the noble journalism profession by strictly investigating and always publishing a factual and objective reportage.
