Burnt Properties in Bayelsa

Bayelsa state is not a very peaceful place at the moment, following the supreme Cout verdict that quenched the swearing-in of Mr. David Lyon as Governor-elect of Bayelsa state.
Already several houses are allegedly burnt and destroyed by an alleged protest embark by the APC, protesting in the state, over what they described as a judgment of nepotism by the supreme Court sacking David Lyon as the authentic winner and awaiting governor-elect of Bayelsa state.
The chieftain of the PDP on a telephone conversation accused the APC Protestants of aggressively destroying people’s properties and even burnt down the PDP office at Yenogoa.

According to him ” if the APC want to embark on a protest in reaction to the verdict, such shouldn’t call for destroying of people’s acquired properties and blood spilling and burning of fire on the road to stop people and vehicles from moving freely”
According to the PDP chieftain who refuse his name made mention for security reasons on conversation said the judgment was a clear indication that God is still in heaven after hope must have lost and PDP candidate and his running mate who happened to be incumbent senators returned to their red Chambers to complete their tenures only for the truth to be unveiled overnight.

Meanwhile, when this medium also put a telephone call across to an APC chieftain in APC who gave his name as Timibri Isaiah said even though the APC has protested and will still continue to until the wrong impression is corrected for the rightful winner of the gubernatorial election Mr. David Lyon to be sworn into his rightful position, he said the protest is in peaceful conducts without destruction of any properties or loss of life.
Moreover, the protest is ongoing day to day and day by day, he said.
