SUPREME COURT TO HEAR IHEDIOHA’S SUIT AGAINST UZODINMA TODAY – By Omeike, Udochi Adachuks

The former governor of Imo State Emeka Ihedioha who was sacked by the apex court on January 14th 2020, has filed a suit praying the court to review the judgement it made regarding the 2019 governorship election.
In the meantime, the atmosphere in Owerri is tensed as the police has deployed her men to strategic locations around the city to forestall any clash between the supporters of the ruling All Progressives Congress and the Peoples Democratic Party.
In their petition, the PDP asked the CJN Tanko Mohammed and six other justices to stay away from hearing the application because they may likely be biased.
The petition submitted by Emeka Ihedioha asked the court to set aside its Judgement on January 14 that declared the candidate of the APC senator Hope Uzodinma winner.
Recall that a seven man panel lead by the
Tanko Mohammed sacked Emeka Ihedioha and declared Hope Uzodinma governor of Imo State.
As the petition is expected to be heard today, the police have banned all forms of protest in any guise within the state.
