A video circulating on social media has raised concerns after a group of young men reportedly linked to the Agaji volunteer wing of Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’ah Wa Iqamatus Sunnah (JIBWIS), popularly known as Izala, were seen chanting lyrics that appear to encourage attacks on people in Enugu and Jos.

The footage, which attracted attention on X on Sunday, shows several young men dressed in brown uniforms and blue berets. One of them leads a chant that references the use of an AK-47 rifle to attack people described as “infidels” in the two cities.

During the chant, the singer says: “He should be given AK47. He would then go to Enugu, the land of the infidels. On Sunday when they are worshiping and clapping, he would then open fire, so that he can kill the infidels.”

The chant later turns its attention to Jos, with the singer repeating the call for an AK-47 and making further references to killing people he describes as infidels.

“He asked to be given AK-47 again. So that he can go to Jos and kill more infidels. That is the training.”

The footage has triggered concerns on social media over the apparent references to armed violence against people in the affected cities, particularly Christians gathered for Sunday worship.

However, the exact date and location of the recording have not been independently verified, and the identities of the individuals featured in the video have not been established in the report.

The circumstances surrounding the recording and the context of the chant remain unclear.
