What do you make of a man who prior to his recent reappointment as provost, Federal School of Medical Laboratory Technology, (FSMLT), Jos, Plateau State, Dr. Nkereuwem Sunday Etukudo. A man twisted with rural development and human capacity building.
What do you make of a visionary man who with the various focus on developing people and simply devoted to attracting dividends of democracy to communities and see to the actualization of a better Akwa Ibom. Very zealous to sustainable development that will manifest in all sectors of economy when achieved.
A honest answer to these questions reveals a pathfinder who has the interest of his people at heart.
one who has worked tirelessly to ensure he brings insurmountable dividends of democracy to the citizenry beyond his immediate community.
A forecast of his administration has the provost, Federal School of Medical Laboratory Technology, (FSMLT), Jos, Plateau State, has reveals that , he has worked to deepen peace and security in the academic sector because without peace, our existence as a people is threatened and nothing can thrive under a violent atmosphere. He understands that in order to achieve the needed economic stability and cultural growth in the education sector, there must be unity and harmony across religious and ethical boundaries
In addition, his administration has strengthen security i by working with all the security agencies and giving them the needed working apparatus to ensure the furtherance of the peace enjoyed under the administration of president Muhammadu Buhari.
Having first demonstrated his love for women inclusion by regularly empowering many of them within and outside Akwa Ibom with financial supports and constantly giving them palliative to enable their families sustainability is enough to prove that the man Dr. Nkereuwem Sunday-Etukudo is a pacesetter.
It difficult to depict what is giving him such determination to carry the women along even though he hasn’t occupied any political office.
His passion and penchant for job creation has become part of the major reasons behind many of the awards and Chieftaincy titles bestowed on him across religious and party lines, I can bet you there are Governor’s in Nigeria that can’t be mentioned in job creations where Dr. Etukudo’s name is mention. Without exaggerating, there is no single year he doe not profess job solutions to the teaming and massively jobless youths in Nigeria and on many occasions he doesn’t even know their identities.
Dr. Nkereuwem has engage in series of programmes all targeted towards creating an economically-viable nation for youths and turning many of them into self-reliant and programmes that has engender entrepreneurial and human capital development, courtesy of Dr. Etukudo many youths are currently productive, gainfully employed, and self-reliant.
Considering the fact that a greater part of Akwa State is still rural-based, his efforts and selfless philanthropical nature has attracted and currently still attracting dividends of democracy to strengthen rural development by adopting measures that will promote better and more equitable integration of the rural roads in various communities. These measures include increasing access to basic social amenities like portable water, electricity, good roads, healthcare, etc.
The name Nkereuwem Etukudo would have found no other one very characterise, bountiful and unconstrainably charitable to humans irrespective of class and categories. Indeed Dr Nkereuwem Etukudo is a true description of an excellent achiever.
