(Update)AUTOPSY OF THE LATE CHIMA IKWUNADO TO BE READY IN TEN DAYS.- By Omeike, Udochi Adachuks

After several postponements of the autopsy of the late mechanic Chima Ikwunado, the autopsy later held yesterday with families of the deceased, police representatives, lawyers and civil society representatives present. The family presented their pathologist as earlier agreed but he is expected to work with the police pathologist to ensure that the best practices are followed.
There was however uproar in the mortuary as Chima’s family could not immediately recognise the corpse due to the lacerations on his body. After close examination, they confirmed that it was their son. Other members of the family who were not allowed into the mortuary were chanting songs and insisting that the autopsy be canceled since it was obvious that Chima died of torture.
Speaking to reporters after the autopsy, the police pathologist Musa Stephen claimed that the corpse had not undergone any autopsy as they were no incision on the body to show that an autopsy was done. This contradicts what the police earlier said that the late mechanic died of high blood sugar.
The result of the autopsy would be ready in ten days.
