Linda Akon Umoh is a US citizen of Akwa Ibom descent and it very important to highlight her role in the deployment of technology rigging machinery that was deployed by Akwa Ibom State Government to violently rig the recent governorship election in collaboration with the INEC in Akwa Ibom state.
Linda Umoh, a fair complexioned lady is the lady that was used by the outgoing government of Akwa Ibom State to select, assemble and manage the team that was created and deployed to design, create, duplicate, and procure the software and hardware technology and materials used to violently rig the 18th March 2023 Governorship election that left people dead and several injured.
She is the Government SA on diaspora Matters and had sold herself as a tech savvy loyalist who can deploy the technology for the purpose of rigging the election to the advantage of the least qualified candidate.
The team was initially housed in a property on Aniedi Akpabio street, opposite the Dakkada Enterprise building as early as December 2022, and after their training, they were all disbanded in January 2023. She was the interface with the project financier that happened to be the Managing Director of the Akwa Ibom Transportation company, who also provided the logistic for the entire operation under the cover of the branded buses of the AKTC.
The location of operation was very secure and not even the drivers nor the food vendors were allowed access into the property as all their supplies we dropped at the gate for them to pickup by themselves.
This is a lady who parades herself as a patriotic US citizen but the architect of one of the most violently rigged election in the history of her ancestral State of Akwa Ibom. She had chosen the pick up points of the Ibom Hall and the Chicken Republic by the Water Fountain on Nwaniba to conceal their nefarious activities daily to the location on Aniedi Akpabio street.
This team was reassemble two weeks to the governorship election at the same location but when the date of the election was move forward by a week, the team was again disassembled on the 8th of March to reassemble on the 13th but this time at Chalets 1& 2 Ibom Icon and Golf Resort (Le Meridien and Golf Resort) because they wanted a more fortified location to finish their inglorious act. Police and army were also deployed at this location to beef up the security.
This lady that was driving a burgundy Toyota Highlander saw to the day-to-day operations of the team which included but not limited to making fake copies of the INEC results sheet, creating fake INEC stamps, training the people positioned to fill all the result sheets and thumb printed the ballots papers that were distributed to strategic homes in different Local Government Areas as part of the rigging plans for the Election Day. These are the materials that were used to replace genuine votes and also summited as the actual vote for the stooge projected by the outgoing governor.
Unknown to this team that they were being monitored and their activities trailed, they also paid for another Chalet no. 6 in the same hotel on the 16th under the same name “HC MEETING” two days to the Election Day to accommodate more members of the team engaged in the grand plan of election rigging of the governorship race.
Luck ran out of the team as a team of police contingent deployed from Abuja secured a warrant to move in on the 3chalets by the 17th of March. This raid further confirmed the rigging plan of the government designed and implemented with her active connivance. Some of the team members were arrested, many laptops, INEC and election materials were recovered, with transmitter, modems and other technology hardware.
She ( Linda Akon Umoh) was lucky not to be picked up as she had a separate room in the main hotel.
It’s very important to let the world know the roles played by different people like Linda Umoh in the 18th March subversion of democracy for her selfish and parochial interest.
We also advise the US Embassy and the American Government to investigate her role as available police documents are there in the Akwa Ibom State Police Headquarters to back up these claims and ensure she is given the same punishment meted out to others involved in the March election madness in Nigeria.
Linda Akon Umoh should also stop parading herself as a person who is upright because her role strongly facilitated the subversion of a democratic process.
