Renowned Ghanaian actor Majid Michel took to his page to share his view on why marriages do not last anymore.
Michel who has been married for 15 years, and who at some point in his marriage renewed his marital vows to his lovely wife said the problem is in the foundation.
He said most people focus on sex and build their relationships around it, as a result, they pay little or no attention to how to cultivate true friendship.
This is what he wrote :
Interviewer: So Majid why do you think relationships and even marriages don’t last?
Majid: well, if you are going out on a first date and all you are thinking about is sex, therein lies the problem. People don’t know how to have a relationship outside of just a sexual relationship. they don’t know how to talk to a person, they don’t know how to be friends. and this is the reason a lot of relationships and marriages are breaking down.
