A shop owner along zoo Road in Kano by the name Ibrahim Abubakar committed suicide on Thursday evening.
He was discovered hanging from a rope in his shop.
Speaking to newsmen, his son Abdusallam Ibrahim said, “Our father is battling with psychological trauma and he is also poverty-stricken. More so, my sister is due to be given out in marriage soon.
“We performed evening prayer with him after which he went back and hung himself. He gave up the ghosts despite attempts to save him when he was discovered.
The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa said that investigation will go on so as to ascertain what really happened.
